This retreat takes it’s lead from communities that gather wood and roots during the winter months to fix and maintain their structures. Inuit people collect driftwood. Anishaabe people mark the birch trees that will be used next year. Algonquin people collect the spruce roots for weaving baskets. We will harvest the stories that are needed to build something new.
