The people who are from the rocky coast of Maine named themselves after the sunrise. During this 4 day retreat we attempt to find a sunrise after climate change. We bring together people who are operating at the intersection of Oceans and Animals to try to make sense of the stories those of us living at the liminal space of the shoreline have experienced. Seeing the current rising sea levels as one represented in flood myths around the world, we attempt to write today’s chapter in the historical mythology of climate collapse. As we tell stories, we listen to and help craft each other’s stories to use in a timecapsule podcast. In the process we learn a toolbelt of journalistic tools to use when supporting others in telling their stories.
